Class B Foam- High Burn Rate Fires

VFIS had recently sent out a notice in regards to Class B Foam used for suppressing high burn fires and the exclusion on Pollution Liability coverage for Fire Departments.

Class B Foam has been beneficial in helping fight high burn fires, but can contain harmful substances that are environmentally, and possibly, a human health concern.

As of right now, there is no exclusion for the use of Class B Foam in New York, but it is excluded when used for training purposes. This will be evaluated in New York and can become excluded in the future.
